[pct-l] Transportation Buck Lake Rd (or Quincy) to Reno airport

I am an emergency trail angel in Truckee and could pick you up but there is a bus option.

Provided you get to Quincy, 

Quincy to Chester ( http://www.plumastransit.com/qcy_to_chester_23.html )
Chester to Susanville ( http://www.lassentransportation.org/files/West-Countybo.pdf )
Susanville to Reno ( http://www.sagestage.com/SchedulesFares/Reno.aspx ) though there may be other options. As this bus leaves Susanville at 7 AM, you will need an overnight in Susanville.

The other option would be for me to pick you up in Portola, Quincy, or Buck Lake Road. I charge $0.50per mile that I put on the car. Take from Quincy to Portola and I drive you from Portola to the airport ($70). From Quincy to RNO, $95. Buck's Lake to RNO, $120. The hitch may be that I do not know what my plans are for late September. If interested, drop me a line at freeloader at alpinix.com .

Greetings,

Thank you all for the support and information you provide on this list.

I am starting my third PCT section hike (hoping to hike the whole trail in 3-4 years)
at Tuolumne late Aug and would like to end at Quincy (via Buck Lake Rd).

I have investigated and found no bus service, no car rental available, and have contacted
Belden trail angels who provided me two names who might drive for hire,
(but no call back from either, yet).

Just checking if anyone has any other ideas, also if you think hitch hiking
(for solo woman hiker) from Quincy to Reno is a reasonable backup plan.
