[pct-l] Columbia River to Panther Creek: Poison Oak, Other Issues?

Poison oak grows at low elevations as far north as west-central Washington.
 How about on the PCT over the low-elevation stretch from the Columbia to
Panther Creek?

The subject stretch is poorly reviewed in the Wilderness Press guide
(partly for its up-and-down character), so can anyone chime in with your
own subjective take - good, bad, and ugly?
