I love the ULA packs.  Have used the Circuit and the Catalyst (one fits a bear can better).  Base weight for me about 11-13 pounds.  I forget the pack weight but might be about 3 pounds?  The company will modify the shoulder straps to fit the female physique better.
They often come to hiker get togethers, like the PCT Kick Off, so you can inspect them and try one out.  I've found customer service to be excellent.
