[pct-l] Yosemite Valley & the Sierra High Route

Last summer, while riding the JMT, I was asked twice, by roving Rangers, to show my permit One of those Rangers also asked if I had a bear canister. I had two Garcias, needed to carry my food and the processed horse feed for my horse.

Last year on the JMT,  the only place we were asked for permits was in the Valley. Twice. We had to show it at the backpackers campground near Happy Isles, also.
