If you haven't done successful brain surgery before I wouldn't risk it.

Seriously,  I remember my 1st night on the AT when one of the other thru
hikers there didn't know how to light his stove.   All I could think was
"this guy, he was also 65, has no chance of completing the trail".  We
became good friends over that summer and he went on to complete the triple
crown over the next two years.   I guess the moral of the story is - don't
worry so much - you will figure it out....

Of course you can play around with setting it up at home before you hit the
trail too.
