Amtrak is nice because you can buy a ticket on short notice without paying a
premium like you would on an airline. Vancouver to San Diego is $150. You
can also get on the train at many places close to the trail in all three
states.
Good Luck,
Tom

Subject: [pct-l] How to get home.
I'm curious to know how others have planned, succeeded, or failed in their
return home either during or after completing the thru hike. I live in
southern California and need to purchase my return transportation before I
began the hike. Being my first thru hike, I'm looking for something either
refundable or open ended dates. Advice and experience welcome.
