[pct-l] Trail maps

LadyFish,

If you want hard copies of maps, most hikers use Halfmile's.  In a few places (San Jacinto's and the Sierra, you probably will want to augment with Tom Harrison's maps.)  Erik the Black has a trail guide / data book / map book that many like, but I found the scale of the maps too small to be useful.

If you get Halfmile's, I recommend not downloading & printing them yourself; instead, order from LazerQuik (I think it's spelled right).  They print the full set from Halfmile's digital files, on both sides of paper, using water resistant ink.  Worth every penny.  I don't have a phone # at hand, but they're in Portland, OR or nearby). Good luck.

I'm going to thur hike the PCT this year.  What are everyone's thoughts on what are the best trail maps for the PCT?  I used AWOL on the AT this year, but I would like more detailed maps for the PCT.  Thanks, LadyFish
