Mark,
 Hi, I can pick you up at the Solana Beach Amtrak station and give you a
ride to the trailhead in Campo, Ca. but If you'd rather, there's a network
of us in San Diego who you can contact @  sandiegopct at gmail.com and one of
us will be happy to assist you or any other hikers out there needing help.
We will be very busy assisting incoming hikers but that's what we like
doing so we are prepared to.
