Since private land on or very near the trail is almost non-existent, let
alone for sale, you're forced into trail towns. Besides, you can't survive
on just the hikers' business.

1. Snoqualmie Pass, WA - The old one - Wardholm West B&B - closed many years
ago.

2. Kennedy Meadows (south) - the store there has been for sale for years,
but supposedly the owner won't sell it to anyone who won't keep supporting
hikers as he does. It could be expanded to include a hostel.

3. Seiad Valley, CA - but you'd go bankrupt pretty fast
