[pct-l] improvised windshield for MSR Pocket Rocket stove?

Gideon,
I use the windscreen from my MSR Whisterlite with my Pocket Rocket. It isn't all that effective, though. The burner ends up being higher than the windscreen was designed to cover, so that I have to somehow prop up the windscreen with rocks, which lets the wind under the screen. The MSR windscreen foil is a bit heavy, too.
All in all, I don't recommend going that route.
Randy

Subject: [pct-l] improvised windshield for MSR Pocket Rocket stove?
Hi to all
My final question before deciding whether or not to return my MSR Pocket
Rocket stove to REI and purchase a different stove system:
I know that one is not supposed to use a windshield around the Pocket
Rocket stove as the fuel canister can heat up which can be dangerous. Have
any PCT-ers out there improvised/used any alternative windshield with the
Pocket Rocket?
Thanks,
Gideon
