Went to Henry Coe for the first time last year (not for the event) and absolutely loved it, however take the tick message seriously. Most trails no problem, but one had hundreds of ticks clinging (quite visibly) to the dry grasses. Because of the narrowness of the trail, they could not be avoided and we literally had to stop every few minutes to knock them off. Go prepared!
