[pct-l] Williamson attempting to regain unsupported PCT

Ugh!

"Hiked as a solo woman" -- that stuff makes me crazy. It plays into
societal pressures that "women shouldn't......" or "women can't......." or
"it's dangerous for a woman to thru-hike solo". Gender has no influence on
hiking capability.

In a dress? I don't even know how to respond to that. Dress, shorts,
pants, who cares?

No familiarity? She certainly is not as familiar with the PCT as Scott,
but she thru-hiked the PCT in 2005. So she had previous PCT experience.

Now before everyone gets all crazy..............Anish is a good hiking
friend of mine. I'm not criticizing her accomplishment. What she did is
absolutely amazing, and I'm in awe. But not because she's female, or wore
a dress, or hiked the PCT once before. Because she's a tremendous athlete
and an all-around great person.
