I’ll jump in on Mendo Rider’s behalf, because I took his
advice and bought several OpSacks. 
I’m  sad to hear about
the Op-Sack study.  We used one this
summer for our 400-mile  multi-section
hike in northern OR and southern WA.  Each night we put our food in an OpSack and sealed it carefully.  Then we put it in a large stuff sack, which
we placed in our tent below our feet.
This year, we didn’t have a single sniffing rodent come near
our tent.  That's a first.

I miss having Mendo Rider, jumping in about now, to defend his
