I just finished a 3-day of that area exiting San G via Momyer last weekend. Great hike - no bears for us, though we stayed at Dry Lake and Saxton. It was a great warmup for the TRT which I'm starting next weekend, which will tell me whether I am really as into long-distance hiking as I think I am ;-)
Better luck up Momyer next time, and happy PCT planning!
