[pct-l] Packwood Glacier area

I'm flying up to Washington in a couple of days to spend a week around
Packwood Glacier as part of a PCTA trail maintenance project. I've never
been in that area, and would be interested in any suggestions about how
best to spend the one free day, or any other info that people familiar with
the area think would be helpful. I'm not totally clear on what the likely
temp. range will be, or how buggy it might be, for instance. Thanks in
advance for any info / tips!
