I've been in contact with a recently retired firefighter in Bridgeport who has started doing shuttles of hikers in the area.  He is much cheaper than the traditional shuttle services but if you could get yourselves to Bridgeport on the bus to Reno, he might be able to get you to Echo for a rate you'd be willing to pay.  His name is Lou Hill, and he charges approx $45. hour, but says rates are negotiable especially for thru-hikers.  His cell # is:  209-329-4745.  A good resource to stow away for future hikers resupplying from Sonora Pass.
