As you head north from the southern terminus keep your pace to finish this race.
This trail starts out nice and easy, almost a stroll in the country.
Get a jump on the sun, if your not a drinker, start a plan to become one.
There are some very nice granite rocks on the north side of those hills that stay
nice and cool into the noon, also some nice cool spots on the down into Hauser canyon.
If your plans start to go off schedule, relax, you are not a slave to the clock, your on the trail..
Once a rattle snake coils up, he's going to sit there till he's ready to move,
The drop into Hauser Canyon goes quickly and the climb out is really exposed in the mid day sun,
keep an eye open for the koko pelly rocks as you get near the top really wish I got a pic of that.
Avoid breaks in the manzanitta, ticks are there.
Hows your drinking, if its hot sip your water and breath through your nose as you hike, a hot dry mouth is the
worst feeling you can have , keep it moist....
Its all down hill into Lake Morena, enjoy the view.
