 Poodle Dog is still around in the San Gabriels, and just about any other place in Southern California with recent burns. Google poodle dog bush and you'll get images. It looks like a poodle, sorta. It has a beautiful purple flower, so, watch where you stick your nose.

And for those of you who insist on having an illegal campfire every night, please be careful. Those fire restrictions are there for a reason, not just because some official was feeling mean one day.
