We started 4/1 from Campo and found the trail from there to Big Bear where we
are now, resting and waiting to hear what's going on with the Fawnskin fire.

The trail was in great condition. The only issue we encountered was snow on
Fuller Ridge. We crossed it on 4/17.. A few snow patches there, nothing major.
We had our micro spikes with us, but never felt any incentive to put them on our
trail Runners. The trail was readily identifiable, and at least 85% of the way
was visible itself. When it wasn't the footprints of hikers made it clear. We
saw no other snow between Campo and Big Bear where we are now. Water was flowing
nicely everywhere it should be. Water caches were mostly full. We couldn't find
some of them, but didn't need to rely on them as we always carried a full days
water. The Mission Creek area was marshy and confusing in places. We couldn't
find the water at mile 234, but water and campsite at 235 were both great. It
was hotter (90's) in both the San Jacintos and the San Bernadinos than we
expected, though.

Does anyone have any idea what the snow conditions are now in the san
jacinto's?
especially fuller ridge? I am planning that PCT section beginning on the
29th.
