Good evening, Myla,

Like most established hikers I have lots of different kinds of little
alcohol stoves, but for simplicity and ease of manufacture I prefer the cat
food can stove developed by TrailDad and illustrated here:
http://royrobinson.homestead.com/

However, for quite a few years now – and particularly in a dry year like
this one is stacking up to be – I’ve left the stove at home and eaten
non-cook, non-heat food to eliminate any risk that I will be responsible
for starting a wildland fire.

Enjoy your planning,

Steel-Eye
