From time to time people have transportation questions here is a recent experience for me:
Big Bear City To the City of Orange.

$.75 Natures Inn to Interlaken Center Big Bear(MARTA)
$5.00 Interlaken to Riverside Transportation Center(MARTA)
$2.00 Riverside to Orange((RTA) commuter bus 3 stops
all took about 4 hours
These are senior prices but even at 2X the price I couldn't drive it for that
In Riverside one can connect to trains/busses eventually leading to LA/OC airports
