I wonder if the PCT is the trail of choice to be re-hiked by
Triple-Crowners?

Wanted to ask if anyone knows what the ratio is between veteran thru hikers

compared to first time thru hikers starting at Campo on any given year, in
particular the past 2 or 3 years. Couldn't find that info on the PCTA site.

I don't know what the numbers are, but every year you'll see a significant
number of people who have previously hiked the AT and are now doing the PCT,
and a few who have previously hiked the PCT and are doing it again. I'd
hazard a wild guess that the total percentage at the start is, I dunno, less
than 25%? PCT Mom probably sees a higher percentage because the attrition
is probably a lot lower on people who have already done one thru hike.
