Where are you getting off the trail?  Oregon?  Washington?
Lake Tahoe?  Reds Meadows?
The transportation options back to So Cal depend on where you get off the trail.

Hello again,

So... I'm trying to find the best way to get back to Southern California when 
getting off the trail. Is there a bus that will take me somewhere I can rent a 
car, get on a plane or train? This is probably obvious, but I'm not so good with 
obvious things.
