With my common thru-hiking strategy of not camping in regularly used
camp sites, I've always had the winning score, because I've never been
visited by a bear when stealth camping.

I stop at them (they are usually near water), cook, wash up, camel up,
and fill up by water bottles for a dry camp, then hike another few
miles before dark.
