True.

In the winter, we bring TWO kerosene stoves, because if you can't melt
snow for water, you can die, and the heat per ounce in kerosene is
higher than white gas.

for thru hiking, or summer weekenders where the normal time between
resupply is 3-5 days max. nothing beats the simplicity and weight of
alcohol, except maybe stoveless, and I like my hot food.

For car camping, I still have my 2 burner green Coleman, but some

As far as safety goes, I've seen a compressed gas stove turn into a
flame thrower, I've seen a svea turn into a blow torch. I'm know that
alky stoves can get knocked over. The only fuel I've never seen an
issue with is Kerosene.

Fire is dangerous. Any form of it can be a problem if you are not careful.

so lets all HYOH and be careful with fire.
