What Brick is trying to say is that you really need to do a *lot* more
research before you make any major plans because what you propose to do
(hike southbound in Washington in November) is pretty much not possible.  We
will (hopefully) be well into into the snow season by then and the mountains
will be impassible for long-distance travel by any reasonable definition.
The best start date for a south-bound thruhike is roughly around June 15th,
or maybe a couple of weeks later in a heavy snow year.
