If these are your two choices, choose the LightHeart Gear Solo. I saw
that tent at the Kickoff. It's amazing! It's roomy, airy, light has
great windows to look out and a fly to cover them up. It's really an
amazing tent. You aren't going to see a lot of reviews out there
because it's not available at REI or other places. It's a cottage
gear manufacturing operation, which means it's made in somebody's
basement. Her sewing is top-quality. If I didn't already have a great
tent, I'd definitely get one of hers.
Shroomer's tent is pretty good, too, but I think I would consider the
mesh floor to be extremely annoying. Maybe I would change my mind if
I lived in it for a few months, but just looking at it, I thought, no
thanks. I experienced enough puddles in Washington to know it would
suck royally to have no way to keep the water out.
