[pct-l] Horses on the PCT

We completed a short piece of the PCT this weekend that filled in our
Oregon PCT hike.  This piece had evidence of significant horse travel and
everytime I stepped around horse droppings and roughed up sections of trail
- I cursed; but every time I saw a tree that crossed the trail that had
been cut in half so I didn't have to crawl over it - I thanked the people
who did it and the horses that carried their equipment.  In the end I had
thanked a lot more than I had cursed.  I appreciate the trail maintenance
teams more than I can say.
