I forgot to mention in my last post that the very fuel efficient new Jetboil Titanium stoves sold at REI include another safety and convenience feature - a built-in wind shield. A "cozy" to help keep your food warm is also standard. With the increased availability of fuel canisters and that they can legally be shipped via UPS, the titanium stoves should become attractive to even the UL hikers.
