[pct-l] ULA vs. GG packs

I have a ULA Catalyst and can echo that it is awesome. It fits me like a
glove and I don't even notice I am carrying it. There are plenty of
adjustment straps to get just the right fit. It is lightweight but has
the capacity to carry a bear canister with no problem. I have a Bear
Vault which I need to put in vertically and pack around it, but a Garcia
canister would fit horizontally. I probably could finagle the Bear Vault
in there horizontally but it would take too much work to pack and unpack
my items each day when I camp.

It is even fairly water resistant. I got caught in a major storm in the
Sierra last month and I was on my way out so I didn't stop to put my
sleeping bag in a plastic bag which I had brought for the purpose. It
was sitting on the top of my pack covered by the flap of the backpack.
When I got home my sleeping bag was still dry. Not bad!
