A couple of weeks ago, while searching the thrift stores, I stumbled across
a blue GoLite windbreaker style jacket at a St Vincent De Paul store. In
one of the pockets was the following heart shaped locket, with 3 photos
inserted, one underneath the other. The locket appears to be embossed with
a US Army emblem on the front, and I'm betting that the photos are of
someone's father or husband. There was a photo of a child, then the man in
uniform and on top, the man appears older, wearing a cowboy-style hat.
I thought I would begin with this forum, as I'm in Oregon, and I have to
wonder if this didn't belong to a PCT hiker (thru or section) and the
locket carried in sentiment. I would really like to return it to whomever
it belongs; if anyone recognizes the man or child, please contact me. It
was purchased in an Oregon store, but I know the thrift stores move their
merchandise around and may well of been donated anywhere.
