IMO, how the shoe fits your foot is more important than weight, no matter what that cheater Ray Jardine says. While trail runners are more than appropriate for the PCT, if you find that a pair of boots is what makes your feet happy, then that is the way to go for YOU. And that's all that matters. What works on your feet.
