Thanks to all that replied.

I did a Google Street View and do see it to be paved all the way to the
trail when coming in from the NE.    What is amazing is that the Google car
actually drove down the entire paved section of the very obscure road . . .
. AND THEY DID IT IN THE SNOW!    Google officially has too much money :-)
