Caution!  you are using terms that are NOT standard terminology for locations you are talking about.

There IS NO Lone Pine TH.

Using the correct name locations will save a lot of misery.

Get a Forest Service Map for Inyo NF.
Get a guidebook:  Exploring the Southern Sierra: East Side by jenkins
   gives great directions.

You want the COTTONWOOD PASS TRAILHEAD.  It is the end of the road.  It is signed very clearly.  There is plenty of room for a trailer.  

All roads are paved.

Mapquest will give you distant/time
