Personally I don't eat these types of meals. I'm assuming you are
talking about Mountain House or something similar. My partner often
eats them. I have tasted them and don't like them. Many have too much
flavor. Most of them are never soaked long enough to get beyond a
horrible crunchiness (user error or do they just never really
rehydrate??). You should make sure that you can eat them before you
buy them. I have found my tastes change a lot on the trail,
especially over time.
There are lots of things you can eat on the trail if you look around.
You may find that including one or two Mountain House dinners for
each section is sufficient.
