Sitting at work and the Deschutes National Forest Summer Trail Update
passed my desk.
It states
Approximately 15 to 20% of the PCT from Diamond Peak to Mt. Jefferson is
under patchy to sectional snow above 6,000 feet. trail reported clear of
snow/blowdown for aprox 5 miles south of Willamette Pass and north to
Charlton Lake. Trail is also cleared north of Irish/Taylor Lakes for aprox
5 miles with 2 logs remaining on a steep side slope that are very hazardous
for stock passage. Hwy 242 - open. Some trail clearing in progress on
different sections with blow down varied, light to heavy.
Hope this is helpful.
