I carry a small cell for budget reasons only. I have a hard time even
finding a pay-phone that works anymore,and the savings is a no
brainer. If I had nobody to call,it would be easy to give up. I
wouldnt carry it just for safety reasons,because of the lack of signal
in most of the more dangerous remote areas. I got 4 texts about
Bin-Laden when I got signal near MT. Laguna,it was info I needed to
hear. Being so close to the major citys of socal made me nervous,but
it was good to know. I felt there might be a responce from terrorists.
 Im sure there were people who needed to know about 9/11 when they
were on trail. Heck,that kinda info is a journey breaker for some
without question.  A great topic David,its alot more to think about
then most consider.
