It is hard to give exact number of miles per day. In Europe routes in
mountains are given in 'hours of walk' not in miles. I assume that we
will spend 6-8h walking each day. It will be 'normal' walk.

The Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) buses run from Reno airport up and down Hwy 395 on the east side of the Sierra. There are commercial shuttle services based in Bishop and Lone Pine that can take you to and from virtually any road-accessible trailhead you want.....for a fee.

What section of th trail do you recomend for us?
