[pct-l] Thru hiking with dog

I recall other crossings that would be very difficult for a dog. Adams Creek below the Adams Glacier comes to mind. It was a raging torrent - I could hear it from several hundred yards away. I waited for morning to cross. It was still pretty intense.

That's true, except that the vast majority of challenging river crossings
are located in the Sierra where dogs aren't legally allowed to go anyway.
