Hi,  Paul from Portland Oregon, and I am getting ready to make a dream
come true.  I've been segment hiking the last few years but I've
decided to attempt the entire trail now.  My parents also hiked Oregon
PCT section in 1992 and then Washington a few years later.  I've had
the desire to complete PCT since helping them with thier hikes.

I've already done the most of the JMT and some of the High Sierra
Route in California.  In Oregon, I've gone from the 3 Sisters to the
border.  In Washington, I've completed just about everything from
Cascade Locks to Snoqualmie.  Some of the hike will be a repeat but
that's OK!

My gear is pretty much dialed, its the food planning that seems
overwhelming.  After reading many trail journal's here, I think I've
figured out my approach.  To send the main staples ahead and
supplement snacks and such in towns.  I'll only plan for the first
month and then do/coordinate the rest of the resupplies along the way.

No plans on getting to Campo yet but I'll probably take the train.
Any trail angels around that might help me get from Portland to San
Diego to the kickoff?
