Huh, compression blisters...that explains why after Idyllwild (and my new, well-fitted shoes) my feet healed up and I could walk longer distances - and then when I hit the day of the Aqueduct, I ended up with a new round of blisters, and the worst of them were on the bottoms of my feet.
