Of course, another possibility might be that the Bigfoot sightings are actually of hairy, smelly, hiker trash that have been lost for some time - and are still wandering. Perhaps they, or those who see them, have tried out those psychedelic mushrooms that grow along the trail.

Clarification, please... Is the spray deodorant to be used on the Bigfoot, or on
the thru-hiker(s)?
Why don't thrus see a Bigfoot while on their treks?
Theory: Bigfoot does not like their 'smell', so he stays away from them! (or at
least stays far upwind of the thrus) ;o)
