Good Morning Diane,

I know of no public transportation from Acton or Agua Dulce to get you to Wrightwood.  You don't mention that you have a preferred schedule.  Jereen and I will be at the Smithsonian in D.C. through the first weekend of May. We will be going to Wrightwood some time in mid-May to ride up to the PCT. We have not yet decided as to exact date we will be leaving Agua Dulce, where we live.We would be glad to offer you a ride. You could leave your car at our home while you hike. Last year I rode up to the PCT from a lake near Wrightwood with the intention of riding to the summit of Baden Powel. It didn't quite work as planned. I came upon too much snow for a safe passage by horse within about 300' of the summit. I decided to backtrack, and camped near Lamel Spring (good water). Next morning I left my horse safely highlined and hiked to the summit of Baden Powel. I was last up there in about 1953.

So, let me know if that approximate mid-May time would work for you.

Does anyone know if there is any public transportation between Agua
Dulce or Acton and Wrightwood or thereabouts. I can find
transportation between Agua Dulce and Acton, but I can't seem to find
any from Acton to Wrightwood. I'm thinking of hiking that section in
May, Baden Powel to Agua Dulce or Soledad Canyon or so. It would be
nice to leave my car at the north end and just drive home.
