Its a very straightforward hitch if you dont like the bus hours.

I have done this route a few times. I recommend hitching from the bus stop on 97 around the corner from the fs station. Easy spot for cars to pull over. The bus stop in leavenworth is a good spot to stand also if you get dropped off part way to stevens.
