Subject: [pct-l] Public Announcement - Kickback and Goof-Off
Yes, it is once again it is an outrageous marketing attack on your spam defenses and Internet noise barriers. The renowned lunar Kickback and Goof-Off will be October 11-12 at 10,000 foot Horseshoe Meadows (out of Lone Pine, CA).
This is a full moon season ending event. This is a life changing event. Much meditation and checking your eye lids for holes will be accomplished. You can wake up every once in a while to fixed yourself a meal.
Any attacks by marauding Indians, Drug Cartel Soldiers, or Cougar-Female Terminator Leadership Types, are your responsibility. If you are carried off to be auctioned to some love-starved mountainmen or mountainwomen, that is your fate. No rescue party will be formed for your safe return. We who are left will sing praises to your memory around a late night campfire.
Camp spots are going fast. You will have new status among your backpacker buddies that you attended. Everyone will be on their best behavior to bring great honor to the backpacking community. Do not miss out on the camaraderie with your brother-sister hardcore backpackers
It is your last chance before winter and cabin fever sets in. Just send me an email letting me know if you plan to attend.
Your trail knave and obedient servant,
Switchback the Trail Pirate
