[pct-l] Josh Hart Oregon Section.

A few of you last week advised me on weather/snow in the Oregon sections Hwy
242 to Hwy 20. I ended up hiking Hwy 58 north to Elk Lake and hitching back
to Bend from there. A short 46 mile section. No snow in this section. Rain
on Tuesday and clear and cold the rest. A south bound section hiker "Boon"
on Wed, coming from Hood River said snow 1" to 4" between Elk Lake and
Mckenzie Pass. He had skipped the Hwy 20 to 242 as he came south do to snow
and the fire section.

In relation to another live topic. I keep my food in my tent, not sure it
the safest but don't feel like hanging it later at night. I enjoy having my
snickers nearby.

I did see some cat tracks and had an elk pissed off and ran through my camp
after dark. That kinda scared the Crap out of me for a minute.

Hike Away,

Josh Hart
