This is a private tree farm owned for about 90 years by Weyerhaeuser and
sold in 2003 to the John Hancock Insurance Company.

to the new $35 fee for close to home hikes like tiger mountain or mt
si.hancock timber has gotten into the act

thats right a new $75 fee per person to hike in a tree farm.(camping
permits are available for the bargain price of $300 )$150 family rate only
if your legally married. this covers places like the snoqualimie tree farm,
tolt river, cherry creek and tons of other lowland hikes.the p.c.t. passes
through many working forests a precedent like this could open the p.c.t.
to through hiker fees
