It's all about you, really. What fits your foot best is what matters the most, IMHO.

I just switched to wearing Scarpa boots on the trail, after several years of wearing trail running shoes. My feet feel better during and after. The Scarpas fit very well and don't aggravate my neuroma. An added bonus is cleaner feet.

Yes, I know, only an idiot would wear hiking boots.
