[pct-l] Printing maps

Just wondering if most people print their maps (half miles) as double sided
to save on paper/weight.

If so are there any obvious disadvantages to this, other than the risk of
losing two maps if a page get damaged.

Also does anybody have experience with printing the maps on A4 pages, does
this cause any specific issues, assuming I ensure the scale/ratios stay the
same.
