Who needs the Wizard of Oz? This Scarecrow has brains, and uses them. I
congratulate him on a wise, but I know frustrating, decision. Made it myself
at Harts Pass one year.

At least he made it to Stevens Pass safely (and rapidly). There is always
next year to finish it off.

We just had Scarecrow come in. True NOBO (started first of June) but the
snow he would be tromping through to the border will be more than what he
just messed with between Snoqualmie and Steven's. No tracks and no trail in
places to follow. 20 degrees at night and tomorrow the snow starts again for
another week. If there's another hiker out there they haven't hit Snoqualmie
Pass yet they will probably get off there. Scarecrow got off the trail here.
We've never had hikers in here this late before.
